Even though your heat pump isn’t working hard during summer, off-season maintenance keeps it ready for winter. Summer is also the easiest time to book an annual service — engineers are less busy and appointments are quicker to get.
Summer Maintenance Tasks
- Clean or replace air filters
- Clear debris and vegetation from around the outdoor unit
- Check condensate drain is clear
- Test the system briefly to verify normal operation
- Book your autumn service before the rush
If Your Heat Pump Also Provides Cooling
Test cooling mode before hot weather arrives. Check the mode switching function and set appropriate cooling temperatures on the controller.
